Pacific Life Re has announced the appointment of Dion Russell as Managing Vice President, Business Services, Protection.
With over 25 years of experience in the life insurance industry across Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, Russell brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role.

Russell's career encompasses roles in primary insurance, consulting, and reinsurance, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of the sector. Prior to joining Pacific Life Re, he led the Asia-Pacific Regional Life & Health Business at a global reinsurer, overseeing activities in the Korean and Japanese markets and holding CEO responsibilities for Australia and New Zealand.

As a qualified actuary, Russell has developed expertise in business development, portfolio management, strategic planning, operations, and governance. In his new position, he will report to Elaine Murphy, Senior Vice President, Chief Actuary, and Chief Pricing Officer. He will also become a member of both the Global Protection Executive Committee and the Divisional Business Services Executive Committee.

For business owners and stakeholders in the life insurance industry, this appointment signals Pacific Life Re's commitment to strengthening its leadership team to better serve the evolving needs of the market.
